The celebration was highlighted by the awarding of Plaques of Recognition to selected and deserving personnel of the Command who has exemplarily performed their duties and responsibilities that immensely contributed to the accomplishment of the PMA’s mission. The following nominees from the Headquarters Academic Group were among the recipients of this year’s Foundation Day Awards:

Senior Military Officer of the Year

COL AGNES LYNNETTE A FLORES PROF – With her primary calling as a military professor, she continues to find joy being an instructor to the future military officers inside the classroom, where she can share her experiences and knowledge acquired in years of service in the Armed Forces. In this regard, she is grateful to be designated as one of the teaching personnel for AY 2021-2022 for the subjects Insurgency, Terrorism, War and its Theorists, History of Military Arts, Law and Discipline, and Law and Military Justice.

As the Chairman of the Academic Group Research Committee, the Team was able to come up with the proposal on the benchmarking of the international standards for Military Academy, which is intended to measure the status of PMA in terms of the 2028 PMA Vision. Other research proposals were also drafted through the efforts of the group and are now being reviewed for recommendation.

She also facilitated the timely review of the HAG Yellowbook. As the Academy transitions to the “New Normal” brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, there are processes to be added or amended and classroom procedures that need updating, thus it is timely for the revision of the HAG Yellowbook and having instructors who’ve been in the Academic Group for many years before the pandemic, as part of the committee, is a crucial factor for attaining success in this endeavor.
